Our water-inflated temporary cofferdams consist of the following:
The Aqua-Barrier is a self contained, single tube with an inner restraint baffle(s) stabilization system. The water-inflated dam has the ability to stand alone, without any additional external, mechanical, or gravitational stabilization devices.
The water-inflated dam is produced from a heavy gauge polyvinyl chloride (PVC) reinforced with polyester. The PVC fabric used to create the inflatable dam is in-field repairable utilizing a vinyl adhesive and patch material, the PVC fabric used to create the inflatable dam’s outer membrane is able to be repaired in-field, wet or dry.
The water-inflated dam is equipped with patented pipe-loops on both ends, which allow you to maneuver the system with heavy equipment during installation and removal, ultimately minimizing the manual labor involvement.
The method for connecting individual units together consists of simply overlapping the ends of the barriers, at any angle, which creates a watertight connection. No other devices or methods for connecting the barriers are neccessary.
Our 4in and 8in ports are equipped with floatable caps, ensuring easy retrieval and deployment during water management operations. Additionally, all caps feature female threading with National Pipe Thread (NPT), enhancing convenience during barrier usage.
